2012 Introduction of 3 Wijdeven businessunits
The organization of Wijdeven is divided in three Business Units as of Jan 1. 2012: Wijdeven Inductive Solutions, Wijdeven  Motion en Wijdeven  Magnetic Technology.

2008 Implementation of Microsoft Dynamics Navision
This year, Navision was successfully implemented as the ERP system in collaboration with GAC Business Solutions. Wijdeven uses Navision to support and optimise all of its commercial processes. Click here for more information about GAC, the largest Microsoft Dynamics NAV partner in the Netherlands.

2008 Take-over of Wijdeven by WitecWitronic

2004 65th birthday
In September 2004, Wijdeven celebrated its 65th birthday with a huge party for its employees.

2003 Take-over BTC/Powertechnics
In February 2003, Wijdeven took over some of the products and part of the production of BTC (formerly: Powertechnics).

2002 Relocation to the Scheper in Oirschot
In 2002, Wijdeven swapped its premises in Valkenswaard for a newly built commercial base in Oirschot, on the A58 in the direction of Tilburg.

2001 Take-over of Philips Small Quantity Department.

1999 Take-over of Luxor
In October 1999, Wijdeven’s product range was expanded as a result of the take-over of Luxor Transformatorenfabriek B.V. in Uden. Luxor’s ‘custom-made transformers’ and coils with a capacity of up to 1.5 MVA, were added to Wijdeven’s range of activities.

1989 50th birthday
Enormous growth led to the need for adjustments to the company’s organisational structure. Departments were created and added to the existing organisation. In 1989, Wijdeven celebrated its 50th birthday.

1979 40th birthday
In order to outdo its competitors and keep pace with the industrial revolution, Wijdeven drew up an investment policy and followed developments very closely. As a result, it tripled its turnover between 1983 and 1989.

1964 25th birthday
In 1964, the company had been in existence for 25 years. From 1971, Wijdeven took an active part in a variety of trade shows.

After the war, AWG was rechristened Wijdeven Transformatoren en Elektrische Apparatenfabriek and, in 1951, based itself in Dijkstraat 112 in Valkenswaard.

1939 Foundation
In 1939, the then director Ad van de Wijdeven started up his own company, called AWG. The company bought and repaired old radios in order to resell them.
