Wijdeven successfully with extremely thin copper wire.

Recently our plant in Ter Apel has succeeded to reduce the minimum wire diameter that can be wound by more than 15% from 19 um to 16 um
(thickness of human hair: 50-100 micron).

This extremely thin wire diameter allows us better to be able to meet growing market demand for ever smaller, custom SMD transformers or coils to produce.
Extremely thin wire offers an advantage especially at high voltage transformers, where many turns are required.

Wijdeven pioneered this for market developments. This step has put its technical capability to a higher platform.
